Description

Join our Trainers for an informal chat and Q+A, giving strategies and solutions from Best Selling author Sarah Naish's book - The A-Z in Therapeutic Parenting.

Compassion Fatigue is when the parent or carer becomes so drained and exhausted by the child's behaviours and needs that there are real physiological changes in the brain, rendering the carer unable to connect with the child or access empathy and higher thinking.

WOW As always hitting the nail on the head. ( not a phrase I would use with Maesie ) I am feeling this way but feel guilty for feeling it. As I was listening this morning I am decluttering my bedroom. It's so lovely to know I am not aline with this. You lot are Flipping amazing. Thank you

I'd like to see a workshop that focuses on the strategies to manage CF and actually spends time making a management plan. A bit like the difference between Counselling and CBT, where CBT actually gives you the toolkit to manage what counselling identifies as route causes.
